Standing 60 feet tall fully deployed, The MAG-Helios is one of the industry's largest mobile tower lighting platforms. Helios is capable of illuminating very large night time events, mining operations, construction projects, road work, and many other applications. With up to 27,000 watts of light, Helios projects from the edge of the work zone, eliminating the need to set up, maintain, and work around multiple small lighting towers.
The MAG-Helios mobile lighting tower also reduces the glare often caused by smaller mobile lighting systems. Helios projects light from steep angles, reducing eye fatigue and making it easier to work at night under artificial light.
The MAG-Helios is also designed to serve as a part of a project's communication network. The tower can serve as a surveillance platform to enhance security and reduce project risk. Cameras can be mounted to the tower for a 360° view of the site during daylight and night time operations. Radios and antennas can also be mounted to the tower to provide coverage and backhaul for cameras and wireless communications.
All TowerWorx towers are designed using industry-standard tower analysis and design software to allow for full wind loading and structure design. All cabling used to raise, lower and guy these towers is aircraft-grade. The strength required for each application is determined using the TIA/EIA-222G specification. Sheaves are constructed of solid steel for extra strength. All bolts are made of Grade 5 and/or Grade 8 steel. AWS D1.1 Welding Procedures are used in the fabrication of the tower.
