Sumitomo Electric Lightwave’s 4th Level fiber optic cables are designed for use in plenum, riser and general purpose environments for intra-building backbone and horizontal installations. These multi-fiber cables use 900µm tight buffered fibers to facilitate field termination. In each design, dielectric strength members add strength to the cables while protecting the fibers at the same time. Outer jackets, available in industry standard color codes, are made of flame retardant materials that allow the cables to pass industry required flame tests.
