The Moxa NPort W2250A is a serial to to a wireless LAN adapter which can connect up to (2) serial devices to a WiFi network. The serial ports on the W2250A suport RS-232/ 422/ 485 connections for all your legacy equipment. The WiFi supports 802.11 a/b/g networks and even supports WEP, WPA and WPA2 encryption. Power input is 12 to 48 VDC and consumes approximately 2.4 Watts of power. The operational temperature range is 0 to 55C.

The Nport W2150/ W2250 wireless device servers also include a web-based configuration utility, surge protection, and a Built-in WiFi spectrum analyzer. In Infrastructure Mode or Ad-Hoc Mode, the NPort wireless device server can connect to Wi-Fi networks at offices and factories to allow users to move, or 'roam' between several APs (Access Points), and offer an excellent solution for devices that are frequently moved from place to place.
